Fox C-6 Announces Administration Hires - June 3, 2026

During Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting on June 3rd, 2026, the Fox C-6 Board of Education approved the hiring of the following administrative positions, effective July 1, 2026: Guffey Elementary Principal and Meramec Heights Elementary Assistant Principal. 

Mrs. Lisa Hazard has been named the new Principal of Guffey Elementary School. Mrs. Hazard has spent 28 years in education and currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Guffey, where she has been for the last three school years. Prior to Guffey, Mrs. Hazard was the Assistant Principal at Simpson Elementary for three years, during which time she also served as a summer school principal for three school years. Before that, Mrs. Hazard spent 17 years as a classroom teacher at Lone Dell Elementary, one year at Clyde Hamrick Elementary, and two years at North Little Rock School District. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Jefferson College before earning her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Arkansas. She also has a Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Baptist, as well as a Master of Educational Administration Degree from Missouri Baptist, and an Education Specialist Degree from Southeast Missouri State University. Mrs. Hazard will be replacing Mrs. Jackie Waller, who is retiring this year. 

Mr. Brad Cookson has been named the new Assistant Principal at Meramec Heights Elementary. Mr. Cookson is currently a 6th grade teacher at Seckman Middle School, where he has been for the last nine years. Prior to that, he taught at Seckman Elementary for six years. He has also served as an Assistant Principal during summer school since 2022. Mr. Cookson earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Webster University, an M.A in Educational Administration from Southeast Missouri State, and a Specialist in Education from Southeast Missouri State as well.
